Leadbetter & Good opened in Lewes in 2012. We stock carefully chosen homewares and gifts, and almost everything is made in Britain. Things from overseas are always fair trade and ethically sourced.
We buy from many independent artists and makers, changing stock often, so for regular visitors there are always new things to see. Our stock includes linen cushions from St Judes, beautiful blankets from Ireland, handmade ceramics by Ken Eardley and Bethan Jones, prints by Sam Wilson, delicious chocolates from Rococo in London and Nom Nom in Wales, soaps, bath & body products from Soapsmith, and always lots of beautiful books. We mix in vintage pieces that we love so there are always unique one-off pieces to be found in store.
Set in the heart of the South Downs National Park, the beautiful market town of Lewes is a great place to explore. There are lots of independent shops, bookshops, antique centres, a flea market, a twice monthly farmers markets and the Harveys Brewery Shop. There are great cafes, restaurants and pubs including Flint Owl Bakery, Le Magasin and The Snowdrop to name a few.
Come and visit us. We are at the eastern end of the Cliffe High Street, opposite the flint church of St Thomas a Beckett. We are a 5 minute walk from the bus station, and 15 minutes from the railway station. There is on-street parking outside the shop and a car park opposite. Parking is free on Sundays.

“I love this shop.
A vast array of original art and craft, books and soft furnishings as well as garden tools, toiletries and THE most delicious chocolate I have ever tasted (and I can assure you I have champed on a lot of chocolate in my time). I always come here when birthdays and Christmas loom. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful, and you don’t feel at all intimidated or pressured to buy something. Splendid.”
